Eind deze maand staat Rival Sons op Pinkpop in Landgraaf. Dit driedaagse festival vindt al sinds 1970 plaats. Rival Sons mogen op Pinkstermaandag vanaf twaalf uur ‘s middags de spits afbijten op het 3FM podium. Met deze datum valt het startschot voor een Europese tournee van Rival Sons. Na een uitverkochte tournee in het Verenigd Koninkrijk met Black Stone Cherry en een succesvolle headline optredens op het vasteland, keert de band terug naar Europa voor een aantal optredens op grote festivals en een headline tournee. Rival Sons treedt ook als hoofdact op tijdens het Rock The Queen evenement; een show aan boord van het historische passagierschip Queen Mary in de haven van Long Beach, Californie.

Gitarist Scott Holiday: “Much love and thanks goes out to our UK and European fans who’ve made our last tour a complete crazy badass success. We got to visit a bunch of new places on this one and were warmly welcomed every night, like we were with old friends.  Pretty damn lovely. Now that we’re back home, we’ll be getting a little (very little) R&R, wrapping up all the details for our next record (due out late summer), and even adding a local show on the legendary Queen Mary!  We’ll be headlining the Queen’s Salon, a really beautiful, old, haunted looking theatre on the ship.  These local shows have become quite rare for us these days, so we wanted to make this one a special one. Lastly, as soon as we’ve now returned home, we’re already announcing our eminent return to the UK and Europe.  More dates to come, but here’s what we’ve got thus far.  Festival season is growing nearer and nearer still… And we’ll do as many as we can fit on our schedule.
